When we think about summer, travel and adventure tend to come to mind. From road trips to beach trips, and more fun in the sun, you don’t have to be a professional photographer to capture quality moments on camera. Social media has changed the way we look at photos, so whether you’re a pro or novice photographer, videographer, YouTuber, or another kind of content creator, it doesn’t hurt to step your gear up with a Panasonic Lumix G95.
The Lumix G95, which you can snag on sale on Amazon, is designed to make it easier to take great pictures — even in the rain, dust, low temperatures, and other adverse conditions. The weather-sealed camera includes a 35mm photo sensor, a 20.3 PM Digital Live MOS sensor to help you capture every detail, lens stabilization technology, and a free-angle monitor ensuring flexibility in shooting from any angle.
Mirrorless cameras tend to be more popular than DSLR because of portability, making them great for traveling and sightseeing. The Lumix G95 has a near perfect rating on Amazon, earning most of its praise for its ability to produce crystal clear images. It also doesn’t hurt that the camera is pretty versatile with customizable functions and easy-to-use buttons. But like any other gadget, the Lumix G95 has earned some mixed reviews, namely for its battery life. That said, the G95 received high marks for its vibrant photos and clear video in up to 4K resolution. The camera also has Bluetooth 4.2 so that you can use your smartphone or tablet as a remote control, and with the Panasonic Image App, users can control functions including zoom and focus, and share images on social media via WiFi.
Writes user Danny Mulligan, “I use the camera for photos and video. I normally use the 1080p at 60 frames a second. The video is great I see no need to use 4K. I’ve used 4K and also 1080p they both work great. I see no need to use 4K because the 1080p is breathtaking. The photos are great. The most important thing about this camera is the stabilization it really works great. I have been able to take great photos in the dark hand held at a [five] second shutter speed. This camera is amazing. I will say I have a steady hand. Blurry photos because of camera shake are eliminated. I love the layout of all the buttons, they are all in the correct place. Panasonic [cameras] are number one when it comes to ease of use.”
The Lumix G95 offers has Vlog-L pre-installed, which features log characteristics with 12 stops of dynamic range for maximum freedom in editing. Other functions include high-speed video recording at 60, 90, and 120fps. You can also connect an external monitor (via HDMI) while recording, or plug in an external microphone and headphone to the camera’s 3.5mm jacks. The camera is equipped with Live View Composite mode, which lets you compose a single image out of several; Post-Focus for adjusting focus after shooting, plus you can develop RAW images and retouch photos inside the camera.
