Morricone won the Best Original Score Oscar for his work on Quentin Tarantino’s “The Hateful Eight.”
Featuring re-recorded music, “Lost Cues: The Thing” will arrive on May 5.
Less than 24 hours after standing by the interview, German Playboy now admits some of the reporting wasn’t true.
The publication says the interview took place June 30, 2018, at Morricone’s estate in Rome.
Playboy Germany published an interview featuring the inflammatory comments, but in a new statement, Morricone said that interview never took place.
