The Marvel/Netflix drama has been axed after two seasons.
One of the best scenes in the Marvel mega-crossover was two superheroes using their words instead of fists.
"Don’t these people have something better to do than to worry about the fact that Iron Fist isn’t Oriental, or whatever word?" Roy Thomas said.
In a U.K. interview, the actor insists the show isn’t made for critics.
“I’m currently in the middle of filming and I need to stay focused on bringing to life this character without judgment," the actor said.
"The characterization of Danny Rand may have remained true to its source material but our show incorporates and celebrates actors from all different backgrounds," the actor tweeted.

The fourth Marvel series debuts Friday, March 17 on Netflix.
The series will be Marvel's fourth live-action series for Netflix.
