Napoleon
In 2023, the Academy Award-winning actor is set to play Napoleon Bonaparte for Ridley Scott's historical biopic, "Napoleon," as well as the title character in Ari Aster's third horror feature, "Beau Is Afraid."
The Apple Original film marks Phoenix's first collaboration with Scott after his Oscar-nominated turn in 2000's "Gladiator."
Joaquin Phoenix stars in the historical epic, which will be released worldwide in a new partnership with Sony.
After shooting the film, Scott called Phoenix "the most special, thoughtful actor I’ve ever worked with."
Sources close to the movie deny that the film starring Joaquin Phoenix will be ready for the 2023 Oscars.
"Ones That Got Away" include Kubrick's "Napoleon" and Lynch's "Rocket Ronnie."
