TCA Awards
ABC and Quinta Brunson's beloved public school sitcom took home four of the Television Critics Association's top prizes.
"Abbott Elementary" led the Television Critics' Association's picks with five nominations. Other new shows like "Severance" also fared well.
According to the TCA, "Ted Lasso" was the best thing on TV in the last year. And Jean Smart was a close second.
New and limited series dominate the 2021 TCA Awards nominations.
Limited series found the most success with nominations, particularly those with strong sociopolitical themes.
Tonight's 35th annual Television Critics Association Awards crowned the year's top achievements in TV across 13 categories.
Other honorees include “Killing Eve” and a posthumous trophy for Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown.”
Members of the Television Critics Association also recognized "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and Bill Hader's "Barry."
Carrie Coon also made history after being recognized for her dual achievements in "Fargo" and "The Leftovers."
"Big Little Lies," "Feud: Bette and Joan," and "Stranger Things" also received multiple nominations for the 33rd annual TCA Awards.
