Jon Bernthal leads David Simon and George Pelecanos’ return to Baltimore, a limited series from HBO tackling the institutional roots of a crooked task force.
Reinaldo Marcus Green (“King Richard”) directs the series, centered on the real-life Gun Trace Task Force police scandal in Baltimore.
The coming weeks will bring shows starring Elisabeth Moss, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Courtney B. Vance, Claire Foy, Andrew Garfield, and Benjamin Franklin.
Bernthal trained for three hours a day to play tennis coach Rick Macci, and ending up actually coaching in character when the cameras weren’t rolling.
