It’s been a busy week for anyone following the film news. While the Sundance Film Festival continued its virtual edition, a hodgepodge of awards news dropped on Tuesday just in time for Oscar voting to begin: DGA, PGA, and WGA nominations proved that there are a handful of major contenders at the front of the conversation now, from “Don’t Look Up” and “Power of the Dog” to “Belfast.” Others seemed to be losing momentum.
